We are sure you are thinking, “What happened to November?” We will spend the coming weeks preparing for the Christmas holiday. Our Christmas Party will be on Wednesday, December 18th. Our party supplies request sheet will be up on the hallway bulletin board as the date approaches. Santa will be paying us a visit again this year, and you are more than welcome to join us in the lobby for a photo op. We have always been on his pre-holiday route.
November was a very busy month for the children. We think that you will agree that they are learning a lot and are having fun doing it. They were very attentive to Thanksgiving history and traditions and shared some of their traditions and favorite foods with us. Spaghetti anyone? We visited the kitchen to prepare for our delicious feast soup. Don’t forget to give it a try! The kitchen is a great place to reinforce numbers, shapes, colors, and good nutrition. We continue to concentrate on those items as well as making and being friends through games, play and sharing.
Just a few notes: As mentioned at Open House: If you are unable to pick your child up at dismissal please call us on our cell phone or text the Remind App, as the church office closes at 1:00. Usually during this time of year our parents get caught in shopping traffic. If this happens please call, but do remember that dismissal is at 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

In closing, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year. In the past, many of the children have given us Christmas gifts. Again this Christmas please refrain from doing so and rather put the money you might have spent in the Salvation Army kettles or donate to your favorite charity. In addition, remember to refer to your Handbook for our snow day policy. We will also use the Remind app as an extra way of notifying you.

School resumes on January 6th with a Christmas Show n’ Tell. We will also be celebrating New Years on that day with noise makers, hot dogs and a Sprite toast.
West Hempfield Preschool does make use of the Remind app.
It is not necessary, but parents may want to sign up to receive occasional reminders from the teachers.
